Greetings Ghouls and Goblins!

I’m Kevin Speidell, an illustrator and comic artist based in New York! Drawing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started to develop my visual language during my undergraduate studies at the School of Visual Arts in 2009, focusing on drawing and watercolor. Nowadays, I combine traditional and digital media in my work, and have earned my MFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2026.

My work is influenced by the unknown and I draw much of my inspiration from life’s mysteries. I am interested in character driven work within Middle Grade, Horror, Fantasy, and Adventure. Currently my focus lies in creating book covers, graphic novels, and interior illustrations. I’m proud to have worked with clients, including Time, The Boston Globe, The Globe and Mail, and Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine to name a few.
